Beth Lepkowski Maloney, PT, DPT

ABOUT

Beth Lepkowski Maloney, PT, DPT began her professional career in 1999 as a Physical Therapist and Supervisor of the Pilates program at Body Dynamics, Inc. in Arlington, VA. In September 2003 she opened her own practice Above & Beyond: Physical Therapy, Pilates, and Consulting, LLC specializing in orthopedic, manual, and performing arts physical therapy, dry needling, and Pilates based personal training.  An avid triathlete herself, Beth specializes in the training of elite athletes. Her clients have included Olympic figure skater Michael Weiss, Ironman level triathletes, cyclists, marathon runners and other multi-sport athletes. Beth's patients have also included professional musicians, dancers, models and golfers.  

 

Beth's Pilates career began with Miami based Polestar Education under the direction of founders Brent Anderson and Elizabeth Larkam in 1997. She served as an international Principal Educator teaching both Polestar Fitness and Rehabilitation courses while also administering Polestar certification exams worldwide for 15 years. Beth is dedicated to promoting quality instruction of the Pilates repertoire.

 

Beth is specially trained in manual therapy techniques through St. Augustine University and is a certified dry needling therapist through Benchmark Rehabilitation. She has presented research on behalf of the American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopedic and Performing Arts Special Interest Groups.

 

Beth lives in Hanover with her husband Kevin who is also a Physical Therapist. They both are fitness enthusiasts and very active in the triathlon community; Beth being a competitive level triathlete in the Sprint, Olympic and Half Ironman distance events and Kevin a former multi Ironman finisher. They also enjoy their time with their 2 boxers: Newman & Rufus.
