Beth Lepkowski Maloney, PT, DPT

Beth Lepkowski Maloney, PT, DPT received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami in 1999 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University in 2006. She worked as a physical therapist and supervisor of the Pilates program at Body Dynamics, Inc., in Arlington, VA until September of 2003 when she opened her own practice. She is now the owner/director of Above & Beyond: Physical Therapy, Pilates, and Consulting, LLC. and specializes in Orthopaedic/Manual and Performing Arts Physical Therapy. She has also trained a number of elite athletes, including Olympic figure skater Michael Weiss, as well as professional musicians, dancers, and golfers. Beth has been pursuing continuing education in manual therapy through St. Augustine University. She actively presents research on behalf of the APTA Orthopaedic and Performing Arts Special Interest Groups and is the author of a monthly newspaper column in the Hanover Evening Sun titled "Committed to Wellness".

Beth began her training with Polestar Education under the direction of founders Brent Anderson and Elizabeth Larkam in 1997. She has been teaching both fitness and rehabilitation courses and administering certification exams internationally for the past 8 years. She is also the Research Committee Chair for Polestar Pilates Education. She is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and is dedicated to promoting quality instruction of the Pilates repertoire.

Beth also provides a number of continuing education courses for health care and fitness facilities worldwide. Courses include Functional Pilates™ I and II, Core of Pilates, and several other customized seminars.
